Feds Demand Life Term for Pain Doctor

Federal prosecutors have urged a judge send Dr. William Hurwitz to prison for life, following his controversial conviction for narcotics-trafficking last year. Hurwitz's attorney, Marvin D. Miller, called the government request for a life sentence "absolutely insane." Hurwitz is to many a heroic figure who helped patients nobody else would treat.
